Vision
Center for Girls Foundation (CFGF) envisions a world where women and children are safe to live their lives in equality, with dignity, and humanity.
Mission
Center for Girls Foundation’s mission is to work within the Chiang Rai Province to empower women and children, reduce instances of gender-based violence (GBV), and educate the populace about human trafficking issues. CFGF seeks to prevent the Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) and all forms of abuse against children. We are committed to creating sustainable participatory projects that equip people in the surrounding communities with the necessary life skills to become independent leaders who strive toward human rights for all, regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or socioeconomic status.

Our Story
In 1997, the Foundation of Women and the Chiang Rai Community Development Office recruited and trained youth volunteers on the prevention of sexual abuse of children. Following the training, one of the trainees, Nunnaree Luangmoi, was inspired to devote her life to this work and created the Center for Girls. Nunnaree has been living and working in Chiang Rai Province fighting for women’s rights and against human trafficking and the commercial sexual exploitation of children for the past 20 years.
At Center for Girls Foundation, we believe in the importance of empowering others to empower themselves. As such, CFGF utilizes a participatory, face-to-face approach to work with women, children, and community members on leadership training, life skills classes, and other educational programs. Together with schools, police, businesses, NGOs, and the village communities, CFGF creates strong networks through which those at risk of exploitation and abuse can be identified, educated, and supported.
