Filmmaking Is Changemaking

Empowering young females, and raising awareness in Chiang Khong’s communities in order to fight stigmas associated with teenage pregnancy: This is what the Women’s Lens Project is all about.

Center for Girls works with young women to create short films about the impact of teenage pregnancy. Through this project, the young women learn the basics of filmmaking, and write, direct, and shoot films about the realities of teenage motherhood. Women’s Lens aims at empowering young females as well as raising awareness in Chiang Khong’s communities in order to fight stigmas associated with teenage pregnancy.

These pictures show the editing seminar at Mae Fah Luang University this month! The films are nearing completion and we’re excited to see the final productions on September 26th.
